About the Role
Marie Stopes Port Moresby Clinic provides high‑quality, confidential, and non‑judgmental sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services to women, men and young people. The Sessional Medical Doctor will offer evidence‑based clinical SRH services during scheduled sessions as needed. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive client‑centred SRH consultations and clinical care
- Counsel and provide contraceptive services including short‑acting and long‑acting methods
- Manage STIs, RTIs, antenatal care and fertility consultations
- Provide HIV testing, PrEP/PEP services where permitted
- Deliver safe abortion and post‑abortion care (if applicable)
- Document all clinical services accurately and submit invoices for sessions
Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB or equivalent)
- Valid medical registration / license in PNG or relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum 3 years post‑internship clinical experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in obstetrics & gynaecology or SRH care
- Strong commitment to medical ethics and client confidentiality
