The PNG Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (DHERST) advises that applications for the 2026 intake of the Diploma in General Nursing (Non-School Leavers) are now open online through the National Online Application System (NOAS).
Who Can Apply
- Non-School Leavers from CDEs, FODE, DODL, and other matriculation centers
- Community Health Workers who also meet entry requirements
Eligibility Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 or Grade 12 Matriculation Studies at FODE or recognized Matriculation Centers
- Studied Language and Literature, Advanced or General Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry with a minimum grade of B or above
- GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Age 35 years or below
- Must provide a character reference from a community leader
Community Health Workers must meet all requirements (1 to 5) and provide an endorsement letter if currently employed
