The New Zealand High Commission in Port Moresby is inviting applications from qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Team Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, friendly, and high-performing team while gaining insight into New Zealand’s culture, including greetings and songs in Te Reo Māori.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reception duties, supporting events, handling diplomatic protocol, and providing consular assistance to New Zealand citizens in Papua New Guinea.



Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of the Papua New Guinea Government system
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Tok Pisin
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and willingness to learn web-based applications
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in administration, a diplomatic mission, or a front-of-house role
  • Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Papua New Guinea. Please note that the High Commission does not provide assistance in obtaining work visas.
