PNG Ports Corporation today donated K127,000 worth of personal protection equipment to the National Department of Health in Port Moresby.
A total of 50,000 face masks worth K120,000 and 15 non-contact infrared thermometers worth K7,000 were presented to the Health Minister Jelta Wong by the Managing Director of the PNG Ports Corporation, Fego Kiniafa at the National Operations Center at Morauta Haus.
Minister Wong thanked the State Enterprises Minister Sasindran Muthuvel and his team for the generous donation that will be distributed throughout the country.
This was witnessed by Mr Muthuvel and Minister for Culture & Tourism, Emil Tammur, along with the Deputy ACP (Operations) Donald Yamasombi and the Acting Health Secretary, Dr Paison Dakulala.
Some of these infrared thermometers will be issued to the Police personnel at checkpoints and roadblocks throughout the country.
