World Vision Papua New Guinea is seeking a motivated and experienced District Officer to support the Community Nutrition and Sanitation Project (CNSP). This role focuses on program management, quality assurance, and strong community partnerships to drive sustainable development outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Management & Evaluation: Coordinate with the Project Coordinator to ensure smooth implementation of CNSP activities, organize partner meetings with DFCDR and District Health Teams, and mobilize resources.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and document project progress, recommend improvements to the M&E Officer, develop training materials suited to local contexts, and provide supervisory support to government and community leaders.
- Representation & Networking: Build and maintain relationships with DFCDR, CommDEV workers, district and local governments, and community organizations, promoting open dialogue with local leaders.
- Documentation: Prepare timely monthly statistical and progress reports and contribute to quarterly, biannual, annual, and project-end reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or college qualification in social work, agriculture, economics, business, health, public health, or related social sciences.
- Certificate in community development is desirable.
- 2–3 years’ experience in project implementation, stakeholder engagement, and networking.
- Background in project design, monitoring, evaluation, and community mobilization.
- Strong knowledge of PNG government systems and programs, and proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication, advocacy, facilitation, and partnership-development skills.
- Computer literacy and sound understanding of project management principles.
