City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) is seeking a passionate and experienced Quality Control & Compliance Officer – Pharmacy Wholesale Tender to join our team. Reporting directly to the Tender & Compliance Manager, this role is vital in ensuring pharmaceutical products meet the highest quality standards while supporting compliance with both local and international pharmacy regulations.
As part of our dedicated team, you will provide technical pharmaceutical advice, sales, and administrative support to maintain smooth departmental operations. Your commitment to detail, regulatory knowledge, and organizational skills will help CPL uphold its reputation for quality and excellence in healthcare.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee quality control of pharmaceutical products, including initiating product recalls, liaising with manufacturers, and reporting findings to the National Department of Health (NDoH).

Maintain quality assurance, ensuring all pharmaceutical items supplied by CPL meet required standards.

Support pharmacy operations, ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date with current regulations.

Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidelines for safe and legal practice.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

Work across departments to promote effective collaboration and communication.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Department Head.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

Valid pharmacist license to practice in Papua New Guinea.

Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.

Proven experience in quality control and quality assurance of pharmaceuticals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Knowledge of wholesale and retail pharmaceutical markets.

Proficiency with pharmacy software and technology.
