Puma Energy recently renewed its support commitment to St John Ambulance (SJA), the only public emergency ambulance service in PNG.
Puma is proud of its association with SJA, an organisation specialised in prehospital care and emergencies, provides ambulance services and a comprehensive range of medical and first aid solutions during emergencies.
Puma Energy Country General Manager Hulala Tokome said extending this support will enable SJA to attend to emergencies in NCD and Central province with the additional leverage to support SJA’s expansion plans into other regions.
“The provision of fuel will make it easier for St John to get to an emergency in time, and Emergency First Response being a part of our 5 Pillars within CSR fits within our core CSR strategy,” Hulala said.
St John Chief Executive Officer Matt Cannon said “St John Ambulance officers respond to over 12,000 emergencies every year. We are proud to provide a robust, reliable, and responsive service to make sure Papua New Guineans get the right care, at the right time, every time.”
“The support from Puma Energy helps us to fulfil our mission and subsidise some of the gaps in funding each year,” he said.
St John Ambulance thanked Puma Energy for their continued support to the service of saving lives.
