Kotna Rural Hospital in the Dei electorate gets new Ambulance

EMERGENCY treatment for the critically ill or injured is now possible with the Health Ministry planning to deliver better equipped ambulances.
The deal has been made possible through the Korea-Papua Trading Co and Kia Motors of Korea.
Kotna Rural Hospital in the Dei electorate, Western Highlands, was the first to take delivery of one of these ambulances which are apparently Korean army issue and used for field operations in the military.
The sturdy vehicles come fully kitted with medical equipment and beds.
Popondetta Hospital took delivery of one of the ambulances and two will be delivered to Port Moresby General Hospital and Angau in Lae.
Health Minister Michael Malabag said he planned to delivery five such ambulances per year until every provincial hospital had one. The National
